Do LED light fixtures need to be grounded?
A: The ground connection for LED light fixtures is strictly for safety purposes. There should be no current flowing in the ground connection, regardless of the load. Its goal is to keep voltage away from the external components. A small amount of water in the incorrect area might cause a lethal voltage to appear on parts that you can touch. If they’re grounded, the voltage is safely bypassed to the ground, keeping the external components at zero voltage.
How do I control the LED strip light?
A: You can control the LED light in three ways:
You will need a Philips Hue, Google Home, Apple HomePod, or Alexa bridge to control the light with your phone. Connect the driver to your home system app and control the light using your phone.
Please note, this will only allow you to turn the LED Striplights ON/OFF. If you are looking to Dim the LED Striplights, you will need a Phillips HUE Bridge.
